Voiding and Refunding Labels

Made a mistake or order cancelled? Learn how to void unused labels and get refunds.

When to Void a Label

Void labels when:

  • Order was cancelled
  • Wrong address entered
  • Incorrect weight/dimensions
  • Wrong service selected
  • Package won't be shipped

How to Void a Label

Single Label:

  1. Go to Labels → History
  2. Find the label to void
  3. Click the menu (⋮) → Void Label
  4. Confirm the void request
  5. Refund processes automatically

Bulk Void:

  1. Select multiple labels
  2. Click Bulk Actions → Void Selected
  3. Review and confirm
  4. All selected labels are voided

Void Eligibility

Labels can be voided if:

  • Not yet scanned by carrier
  • Within carrier void window
  • Status is "Label Created" or "Pre-Transit"

Cannot void if:

  • Package already in carrier possession
  • Delivered or in transit
  • Past carrier deadline

Refund Timeline

USPS:

  • Automatic refund for unused labels
  • 28-day void window
  • Refund in 24-48 hours

UPS:

  • Request refund within window
  • Processing: 5-10 business days
  • Some services have fees

FedEx:

  • Unused labels refunded automatically
  • Processing: 7-14 business days
  • Express services faster

Refund Methods

Refunds are credited to:

  • Account Balance - Applied to your atoship wallet
  • Original Payment - Credit card or bank account

Partial Refunds

Some situations result in partial refunds:

  • Weight/rate adjustments
  • Address correction charges
  • Service upgrades applied

Checking Void Status

View void requests:

  1. Go to Billing → Transactions
  2. Filter by "Voids/Refunds"
  3. See status and amount
  4. Track refund to account

Common Issues

"Cannot void - package in transit"

  • Package already scanned
  • Contact carrier for return/intercept

"Outside void window"

  • Past carrier deadline
  • Label cost cannot be recovered

"Refund pending"

  • Processing with carrier
  • Allow stated timeframe
