QuickBooks Online + atoship

Connect QuickBooks Online with one-click Intuit OAuth. Your invoices import as orders you can ship, and the tracking number and ship date are written straight back onto the invoice — no plugin to install.

How it works

atoship connects to QuickBooks Online over Intuit's OAuth. On a schedule, it reads your invoices and turns each one with a shipping address into an order in atoship. You ship the order like any other, and atoship writes the ship date and tracking number back onto the same invoice. Only real, name-brand carriers are ever shown — never backend aggregators.

1

Create an invoice

Your normal QuickBooks flow — no changes

2

It imports as an order

Synced into atoship on a schedule

3

Tracking writes back

Ship date + tracking number onto the invoice

Connect QuickBooks

No plugin, no store URL.QuickBooks connects with Intuit OAuth from your atoship dashboard — approve access once and you're done. atoship never sees your QuickBooks password, and you can revoke access from Intuit at any time.

Step 1 — Connect over OAuth

In your atoship dashboard, open Channels, find QuickBooks Online, and click Connect. You'll sign in to Intuit, choose the company to connect, and approve — then you're redirected back to atoship. The connection refreshes itself; there are no keys to copy.

Step 2 — Let it sync

atoship polls QuickBooks on a schedule and imports invoices as orders — you can also trigger a sync manually from the channel. Set your default ship-from address and package defaults in atoship, and invoices with a shipping address are ready to ship.

What gets synced

QuickBooks → atoship

  • Invoice number & date
  • Customer name & email
  • Shipping address
  • Line items
  • Currency & totals

atoship → QuickBooks

  • Tracking number (onto the invoice)
  • Ship date
  • Carrier note fallback if the tracking field is unavailable

atoship only reads invoices and stamps the tracking / ship date back — it never creates or deletes accounting documents. QuickBooks Items are accounting entries, so products and inventory are not synced.

What you get

One-click OAuth

Connect from the dashboard with Intuit OAuth — no plugin, no keys, and revocable from Intuit anytime.

Invoices become orders

Each invoice with a shipping address turns into a shippable order — customer, address, and line items included.

Multi-carrier rate compare

Live rates from all major carriers side by side, cheapest first, then buy the label from your wallet.

Tracking & ship-date writeback

The tracking number and ship date are written straight back onto the QuickBooks invoice.

Void & refund

Cancel an unused label from atoship — it's voided with the carrier and your wallet is refunded.

Discounted rates, no monthly fee

Discounted carrier rates with no per-label monthly fee — you simply pay for labels from your atoship wallet.

Parcel shipping only. Freight / LTL is out of scope.

Requirements

  • A QuickBooks Online account
  • An atoship account with a funded wallet
  • Invoices that carry a shipping address
  • A default ship-from address (US origin)

Troubleshooting

The connection stopped working

atoship refreshes the QuickBooks connection automatically, but if you revoked access on Intuit or it expired, reconnect from Channels → QuickBooks Online → Connect.

An invoice didn't import

atoship imports invoicesthat have a shipping address. Estimates, sales receipts without shipping, and invoices with no shipping address won't appear. Add a shipping address to the invoice and it will import on the next sync.

Tracking isn't on the invoice

atoship writes the tracking number into the invoice's tracking field. If your QuickBooks edition doesn't keep that field, atoship falls back to adding it as a private note on the invoice ("Shipped … via atoship"), so the tracking number is never lost.

No rates show up for an order

Rates are pulled live, so a missing/invalid shipping address, a missing ship-from, or a zero weight returns nothing. Set a package weight and size on the order and make sure the ship-from is complete.
