Walmart Marketplace + AtoShip

Connect your Walmart seller account in one authorization. Orders arrive automatically, and the moment you buy a label the tracking number goes back to Walmart — so the order shows as shipped without anyone re-typing it.

How it works

AtoShip connects as a Walmart Solution Provider. You authorize once on Walmart's own consent screen — no API keys to copy, nothing to paste, and no password is shared with us. Walmart issues a token scoped to your seller account, and AtoShip uses it for orders, shipping updates, listings and returns.

1

Orders sync in

New Walmart orders appear in AtoShip automatically, with their line items, buyer address and totals, so nobody re-types an order to ship it.

2

You buy the label

Compare USPS, UPS, FedEx and DHL side by side and buy the cheapest service that meets the delivery promise.

3

Walmart is told, immediately

The tracking number, carrier and service are written back to the order the moment the label exists — this is the step that keeps your on-time-shipping metric intact.

Any carrier reaches Walmart's records

Walmart only recognises a fixed list of carrier names. Ship with anything outside that list — a regional carrier, a consolidator, your own courier — and a shipping notice sent the obvious way is rejected outright, which leaves the order looking unshipped and counts against you.

AtoShip handles both cases without you having to know which is which. A carrier Walmart knows is sent under its own name. A carrier it does not know is sent as an other carriertogether with a tracking URL, because Walmart requires one in that case and will otherwise refuse the update. Either way the shipment lands in Walmart's records and your buyer gets a working tracking link.

Two ways to connect

Walmart supports two entry points for a Solution Provider, and AtoShip implements both. Start from AtoShip, or start from the App Store inside Walmart Seller Center — either way you land on the same Walmart consent screen and end up with the store connected.

A — Start in AtoShip

  1. Open Channels and choose Walmart.
  2. Sign in with the Walmart account that owns the seller ID you want to connect.
  3. Approve the permissions. You are returned to AtoShip with the store listed and tagged with its seller ID.

B — Start in Walmart Seller Center

  1. In Seller Center, open the App Store and find AtoShip. Click Connect.
  2. Sign in to AtoShip — or create an account right there if you do not have one yet.
  3. Approve the permissions. You finish on the same AtoShip channel list, store connected.

Orders begin importing on the next sync. Nothing else is required — tracking write-back is on from the first label you buy. If you are not signed in to AtoShip when you start, you are asked to sign in (or sign up) first and returned to the consent screen automatically.

What you are approving

Walmart lists the exact permissions on the consent screen before you approve, and you can withdraw them from Seller Center at any time. AtoShip asks for these, and uses every one of them:

PermissionWhat AtoShip does with it
OrdersImport your orders, acknowledge them, and cancel one you cannot fill.
ShippingWrite the carrier, service and tracking number back to the order.
ItemsPublish a product and edit its listing afterwards.
InventoryRead the quantity Walmart holds for a SKU, and set a new one.
Pricing and promotionsChange the selling price, or run a promotional price.
ReturnsSee customer returns and issue the refund that settles them.
Account profileRead the seller ID and marketplace the connection belongs to.

Your Walmart password is never shared with AtoShip. The connection is a token Walmart issues against your seller account — revoke it in Seller Center and AtoShip can no longer renew it. A token already issued keeps working until it expires, which is under half an hour.

What you can do from AtoShip

Order import

New and updated Walmart orders sync in on a schedule, with line items, buyer address and order totals.

Tracking write-back

Carrier, service and tracking number are pushed to Walmart as soon as the label is bought.

Listings

Publish a product to Walmart and edit the whole listing later — title, description, images and attributes.

Price and promotions

Change the live selling price, or run a promotional price with a struck-through “was” price alongside it.

Inventory

Look up what Walmart currently holds for a SKU and set a new quantity, from the channel page or the product itself.

Returns and refunds

See customer returns as they are opened and issue the refund that settles them.

Before you start

  • An active Walmart Marketplace seller account (US marketplace).
  • You must be able to sign in to that account — the connection is authorized by you on Walmart's side, so an account you only have API keys for is not enough.
  • Listings you want to manage from AtoShip need a real, registered GTIN/UPC. Walmart rejects an item whose product ID it cannot verify, whichever tool submits it.

Connect Walmart

One authorization on Walmart's own screen. No API keys.
