Managing Your Address Book

The atoship address book saves you time by storing frequently used ship-from and ship-to addresses. Enable smart validation to ensure deliverability.

Adding Addresses

Ship-From Addresses

These appear as your return address on labels:

  1. Go to Settings → Addresses
  2. Click Add Ship-From Address
  3. Enter your complete address
  4. Optionally set as default
  5. Click Save

Ship-To Addresses

Save customer addresses for repeat orders:

  1. Go to Addresses → Recipients
  2. Click Add Recipient
  3. Enter customer details
  4. Add optional notes (gate codes, delivery preferences)
  5. Save the address

Address Validation

atoship validates addresses in real-time using USPS, UPS, and FedEx databases.

Validation Status:

  • Verified - Address confirmed deliverable
  • ⚠️ Suggested - Minor correction available
  • Invalid - Address not found

Common Corrections:

  • Apartment/suite number formatting
  • ZIP+4 code addition
  • Street abbreviation standardization
  • City/state mismatches

Organizing Addresses

Tags and Groups: Create groups for different purposes:

  • "Warehouses" - Multiple fulfillment locations
  • "VIP Customers" - Frequent buyers
  • "International" - Overseas addresses

Search and Filter:

  • Search by name, company, or address
  • Filter by tag or validation status
  • Sort by recently used or alphabetical

Import and Export

Import Addresses:

  1. Download our CSV template
  2. Fill in your address data
  3. Upload the file
  4. Review and confirm

Export Options:

  • Export all addresses to CSV
  • Export specific groups
  • Include validation status

Set smart defaults to speed up label creation:

Default Ship-From: Your primary warehouse or office location.

Default Package: Pre-set dimensions and weight for common items.

Default Service: Preferred carrier and service level.
