Setting Up Your atoship Account

Getting started with atoship is quick and easy. This guide walks you through the complete account setup process.

Step 1: Create Your Account

  1. Visit atoship.com and click "Get Started Free"
  2. Enter your email address and create a secure password
  3. Verify your email by clicking the link we send you

Step 2: Complete Your Business Profile

After email verification, you'll set up your business profile:

Business Information:

  • Company name (or your name for individuals)
  • Business type (e-commerce, retail, wholesale, etc.)
  • Estimated monthly shipping volume
  • Primary shipping origin address

Contact Details:

  • Phone number for carrier notifications
  • Billing email for invoices
  • Support contact for shipping issues

Step 3: Verify Your Identity

For security and fraud prevention, we verify all accounts:

For Individuals:

  • Government-issued ID
  • Address verification

For Businesses:

  • Business registration documents
  • Tax ID (EIN or SSN for sole proprietors)
  • Bank account verification for billing

Step 4: Set Up Payment Method

Add a payment method to fund your shipping:

Supported Methods:

  • Credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover)
  • ACH bank transfer (lower fees)
  • PayPal Business

Auto-Reload Options:

  • Set minimum balance threshold
  • Choose reload amount
  • Enable/disable notifications

Step 5: Configure Your First Ship-From Address

Your ship-from address appears on shipping labels:

  1. Go to Settings → Addresses
  2. Click "Add Address"
  3. Enter your complete address
  4. Set as default if this is your primary location
  5. Enable address validation for accuracy

Account Security Best Practices

  • Enable two-factor authentication (2FA)
  • Use a strong, unique password
  • Review login history regularly
  • Set up team member permissions appropriately
