The Address Verification API always answers, and returns more: whether the address is deliverable (DPV-confirmed), whether it is residential, ZIP+4, carrier route and a confidence score. That is what you need to score an address before you accept an order — not after you try to ship it.
No. Using the platform is free; the only fees are for BYOCA, external tracking and the Address Verification API — each shown in the price summary before you create the label. Wallet postage is the carrier rate you see at checkout. No setup fees, no monthly minimums, no seat charges.
Two ways: commissions from carrier partners on wallet-funded labels, built into the discounted rate, and the metered fees for BYOCA, external tracking and the API. That is what lets the platform itself cost nothing per month.
