Charged when you create a label using your own carrier account. Includes Bill Recipient and Bill Third Party support, label generation, format conversion, and order tracking. Carrier still bills your account directly for shipping cost.
External Tracking Subscriptions — $0.03 per tracking number
For tracking labels NOT purchased through atoship — for example, when you import an outside tracking number from another platform and want atoship to monitor it with branded pages and delivery notifications. Labels purchased on atoship include tracking free; this fee only applies to externally-purchased labels.

There is no monthly subscription, no setup fee, and no seat fee. You pay per label only. Wallet (system carrier) labels: the discounted carrier rate — that's it. BYOCA (your own carrier account) labels: a $0.08 platform fee, with shipping cost billed by your carrier directly. Tracking is included free for any label you purchase through atoship. A separate $0.03 fee only applies if you bring outside tracking numbers (labels not purchased on atoship) for us to monitor.
BYOCA (Bring Your Own Carrier Account) lets you use your own UPS, FedEx, USPS, or DHL account to ship at your negotiated rates. We charge $0.08 per label for the platform service — label creation, format conversion, third-party billing, address validation, etc. Your carrier bills your own account directly for the shipping cost; the $0.08 is deducted from your atoship wallet.
The $0.03 per-tracking-number fee only applies to external tracking subscriptions — i.e. when you ask atoship to monitor a tracking number for a label that wasn't purchased through us (e.g. imported from another platform). Labels you purchase through atoship include tracking free, with no per-label tracking fee.
No. The carrier rate at checkout is the rate you pay (for wallet purchases). The BYOCA $0.08 and tracking $0.03 fees are clearly displayed in the price summary before you create each label. No surprise charges, no setup fees, no monthly minimums.
Two ways: small commissions from carrier partners on wallet-funded labels (built into the discounted rate), and the per-label service fees for BYOCA and tracking. This lets us offer the platform free of monthly subscription costs.
